The FM Law Park Connector Trail provides communities north of the park with a safe connection to FM Law Park and the Sim’s Bayou Greenway.

The 10 foot wide concrete trail begins at Doulton Drive and runs south to Vassar Road with a new midblock crossing at Bellfort Avenue. At Vassar Road the trail continues east along the existing sidewalk to the crosswalk where the existing walkway connects to the park trail loop. The connector trail continues east to the corner of Vassar Road and down the west side of Mykawa Road past the Edward J. Stringfellow South Police Station to the First Tee Entry Drive which provides connectivity to two Sims Bayou Greenway gateways just south of the golf course. Within the park there are two new gateways complete with wayfinding signage, benches, trash and recycling receptacles, native tree and shrub planting and a sodded detention basin. Maintenance for the trail is a joint partnership between the Houston Parks and Recreation Department, City of Houston General Services Department and the Houston Parks Board.

Funding for the project was provided by the Gulfgate Redevelopment Authority/ TIRZ 8 and Harris County Precinct One. This project represents $1.9 million in community improvements.
