Join LINK Houston and the Kinder Institute for Urban Research for a virtual conversationwith Transportation for America Director Beth Osborne on Thursday, May 28, 2:00-3:00 p.m. Following the release of our Where Affordable Housing and Transportation Meet in Houston report, we continue to explore how to better align affordable housing and transportation to address affordability.
The current global public health crisis and economic downturn will continue to upend the lives of many Houstonians who were already living on the brink of affordability. While local leaders are currently providing immediate rental assistance through the federal stimulus package to qualifying families, it is important to start developing policies and practices that can be implemented in the near-future to improve affordability long-term.
