Multiple street projects throughout the zone which provide an immediate community impact. Since 2019, $10.2 million of corridor improvements that include pavement panel replacements, curb replacement, pavement markings and replacement of damaged sidewalks and/or installation of new sidewalks within the entire TIRZ 8-Gulfgate area. To date the project has installed over five miles of new sidewalks. The improvements enhance the overall experience for the TIRZ 8 community and help revitalize the area. This project was completed in phases.

Status: Phase III is currently under construction with slated completion of 2025.

  • Phase I was completed in 2020 totaling $3.15 million with improvements to the following roadways:
    • Airport Boulevard
    • Bellfort Street,
    • Crestmont Street
    • Dixie Drive
    • Monroe Road
    • MLK Jr Boulevard
    • Mykawa Road
    • Reed Road
    • Telephone Road
    • Vasser Road
    • Wayside Drive
  • Phase II was completed in 2022 totaling $2.8 million with improvements to the following roadways:
    • Selinsky Rd
    • Wayside Drive
    • Airport Blvd
    • Crestmont Street
    • East Orem Drive
  • Phase III is currently under construction with slated completion of 2025 totaling $3.9 million with improvements to the following roadway:
    • Airport Blvd from Telephone Road to Mykawa (this project includes a new water line)
