The second phase of Charlton Park will transform the park by introducing an array of enhancements. These include expanding the playground, establishing a central shade pavilion and event lawn, improved pedestrian circulation and loop trails, enhanced access to the community center and basketball pavilion, new fitness equipment, parking lot upgrades, new site furnishings, site lighting improvements, and new trees planted throughout the park.

Currently in the permitting process, the project is on track for construction commencement in early 2025. This project is a joint venture between the City of Houston Parks and Recreation Department and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

This project represents $3 million in community improvements with completed.
