Project

Dixie Road Mobility (Mykawa to Chaffin St.)

T-0816

This project involves the complete replacement of the existing roadway with reinforced concrete and new curb, along with a series of infrastructure upgrades designed in accordance with City of Houston (COH) standards. Improvements include the installation and enhancement of traffic and pedestrian signals, upgraded storm drainage systems, sanitary sewer system improvements, and the replacement of water lines to support reliable utility service. The work also provides new driveways, sidewalks, and ADA-compliant wheelchair ramps to improve accessibility and pedestrian mobility. Additionally, the project includes upgraded street lighting for enhanced safety, as well as permanent signage and pavement striping to clearly delineate travel lanes and traffic movements. Together, these improvements will enhance roadway performance, reduce flooding risks, improve public utilities, and support a safer and more accessible transportation network for the surrounding community.

Status: Currently in preliminary engineering phase.
